English: NASA named 50 new Explorer schools from 34 states across the U.S. this month. The Explorer program inspires students to seek careers in science, math and engineering. Teachers and students gathered with NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe and other NASA officials, to kick-off this year's program. Youngsters from these schools will work with NASA scientists on actual experiments being performed in space. Teachers have as much fun as the students learning space-age technology and translating it into material their classes will be enthused about. NASA's vision of continued space exploration depends upon young people like these to find learning about technology fun and exciting. |
