English: CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Space shuttle Atlantis arrives at its new home, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. Atlantis completed its 10-mile journey from Kennedy's Vehicle Assembly Building with stops during the day for a transfer ceremony in Kennedy's Industrial Area and public viewing in Space Florida's Exploration Park.
As part of transition and retirement of the Space Shuttle Program, Atlantis will be displayed in a new exhibit hall at the visitor complex beginning in the summer of 2013. Over the course of its 26-year career, Atlantis traveled 125,935,769 miles, completing 33 missions during 307 days in space. For more information, visit http://www.nasa.gov/transition.
