Description
Nederlands: Kalkoven N.V. Kalkfabriek Rijnland, gesloten in 1971. Een van de twee torens is behouden en is de laatste in Zuid-Holland. Bij deze oven van 23 meter hoog, werden schelpen tot een temperatuur van 1100 graden Celsius gebrand en daarna geblust tot schelpkalk.

In Katwijk-Noord, in de sub-wijk 'Hoornes'. Vroeger was Katwijk-Noord grotendeels een onderdeel van Katwijk aan Zee, dat nu een woonkern (woonwijk) is in de gemeente Katwijk.
