Description
中文（臺灣）：楠梓仙溪那瑪夏區段屬中上游河川地，河床寬闊，遍布卵石，以圓礫佔大多數。且河流彎曲，流量豐富，水質清澈，污染程度甚低。為維護楠梓仙溪那瑪夏段的溪流魚類資源，並保護境內保育類魚種及其棲息環境，當時縣政府乃於82年5月將本溪段劃定為野生動物保護區。每年11月至次年5月為楠梓仙溪的乾旱枯水期，亦為魚類的主要繁殖期，此段期間禁止垂釣；其他時期則開放部分溪段，供民眾垂釣一般(非保育類) 魚種，在永續經營的原則下，亦可使民眾享有生態保育的成果。
English: Nanzihsiian River originates from the southwest foothill of Yushan and runs across the mid-elevation natural forest. The refuge and protection by the villagers has kept the river free from pollution and construction. Scaphesthes alticorpus can be easily spotted on the bridge. Living in 150〜500 m low elevation rapid rivers, Scaphesthes alticorpus is protected species in Taiwan, and is renowned as Taiwan National Treasure along with Oncorphynchus masou.
