English: The coastal cliffs are up to 120 meters high. Karadag (Kara Dag) is an ancient volcano, the product of Jurassic volcanism in Crimea. Karadag is older than the Black Sea itself as it was formed in the Jurassic Period of the Mesozoic Era (about 150 million years ago).
This object is located on the Crimean Peninsula and recognized as a protected area by both Russia and Ukraine under the ID: 8200005 / 01-116-5002, respectively. The legal status of the Crimean region is currently disputed.
