English: The Karamon Gate [1] (or Kara-mon (唐門)), also called Chokushimon (勅使門), stands on the raised ground beyond. The term karamon refers to a 'gate with a gently curved gable'.
The Engakuji Temple[2] (Engaku-ji, 円覚寺 えんがくじ.) is built on the slopes of a forested hill in Kita-Kamakura (Yamanouchi [3]), Kamakura City[4], Kanagawa Prefecture. Engakuji is one of the leading Zen temples in eastern Japan and the second of Kamakura's five great Zen temples. The temple was founded in 1282 under the auspices of the eighth regent (shikken) Hōjō Tokimune[5]. a year after the second invasion attempt by the Mongols [6] had been reverted. One purpose of the new temple was to rest the souls of those who fell in the battle between Japanese and Mongolian soldiers.[7] 日本語: 唐門は、勅使門とも呼ばれ、向こうの高台に立っています。 カラモンという用語は、緩やかに湾曲した切妻のある門を指します ます。 円覚寺は、東日本を代表する禅寺の1つであり、鎌倉の5大禅寺の2番目です。 円覚寺は1282年に設立され、モンゴル人による2回目の侵略の試みが元に戻されてから、1年後に第8摂政、北条時宗（北条時宗、1125-84）の支援を受けました。 新しい寺院の目的の1つは、日本兵とモンゴル兵の戦いで倒れた人々の魂を休ませることでした。 |
