Description
English: Karapan sapi brujul is a tradition of cattle racing for farmers in Probolinggo city when entering the planting period. This cow race is different from the cow karapan in Madura which uses red cows. While in Probolinggo, farmers use cattle ploughing rice fields. Another difference is that this cow racetrack uses muddy ground. While other regulations and accessories are not much different from cow karapan in Madura.
Bahasa Indonesia: Karapan Sapi Brujul merupakan sebuah tradisi balapan sapi pembajak sawah para petani di Kota Probolinggo saat memasuki masa tanam. Balapan sapi ini berbeda dengan karapan sapi di Madura yang menggunakan sapi merah. Sedangkan di Probolinggo, para petani menggunakan sapi pembajak sawah. Perbedaan lainnya yaitu arena balapan sapi ini menggunakan tanah berlumpur. Sedangkan peraturan dan aksesoris lainnya tidak jauh berbeda dengan karapan sapi di Madura.
