Deutsch: Karlsschrein, Stirnseite. Die dargestellten Figuren sind Karl der Große mit Modell des Doms in der Hand, sitzend größer als die beiden stehenden Figuren, Papst Leo III (links), Erzbischof Turpin von Reims (rechts) und Jesus Christus über allem segnend als Weltenherrscher. Der Schrein ist in der Chorhalle des Aachener Doms untergebracht, deren Glasfenster im Hintergrund zu sehen sind. Die an den Seiten des Bildes schemenhaft zu erkennenden Langseiten des Schreins sind Reflexionen des Glaskastens, der den Schrein schützend umschließt, wie auch Reflexionen das Bild des Schreins überhaupt leicht überlagern. |
