Description
English: Uvala on the Swabian Alb ("Karstwanne (German)"), S Burladingen. The medium sized uvala (about 900 x 500m), resembling a giant sinkhole, funnel-shaped, developed in geologically long times on karstic limestone. Longtime weathering formed a 10m thick loamy sediment. The formation has a depth of about 100m. The kind of shrubbery protects two very small sinkholes, that serve as drainage (ponor).
