Deutsch: Rekonstruktionsversuch des Südtores von Kastell Caister-on-See, Zustand 200 n. Chr. Die Mauer stand bis zu 5 m hoch und bestand aus Feuerstein die in regelmäßigen Abständen durch horizontale Ausgleichslagen aus Ziegeln durchzogenen wurden. Die beiden Gräben konnten vermutlich auf einer Holzbrücke überquert werden (archäologisch nachgewiesene Pfostenlöcher am Innengraben). |
