English: Photograph of the raven hat/helmet that was worn by the Tlingit chief K'alyaan (sometimes spelled as Katlian) in the Battle of Sitka. It is currently housed in the Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka, Alaska. The hat was first brought to the museum in 1905 following a potlatch in 1904 by a man who was also named K'alyaan. This K'alyaan handed the helmet to Gov. John G. Brady while saying that doing this was a symbol of "giving up the ol time". Photograph provided by Sitka National Historical Park. National Park Service Purchase Order P15PX03654 (Solicitation Number P15PS02131)
