Français : Villa impériale de Katsura. Pont, depuis le pavillon de thé Shokatei. À gauche: le Nouveau Shoin. Derrière le grand pin : Shoin Intermédiaire, espace correspondant à la salle des audiences. Entre les deux premiers : salon de musique (ouverture obscure). À droite du grand pin : véranda qui donne sur la Terrasse de la Lune (masquée par le pin tors) et donnant accès à l'Ancien Shoin, dans une antichambre. Le Geparro n'est pas visible, il se situerait à l'extrême droite, derrière les arbres. Le toit clair correspond à un bâtiment moderne. Un accès à la véranda peut se faire par un chemin de pierres (visible sous la dernière branche du grand pin), et la véranda donne accès à une porte (ici une ouverture sombre). Deux autres accès de ce même type aboutissent à cette véranda. Le portail d'entrée principal se trouve à droite, derrière le pavillon Geparro, d'où un chemin empierré, mais oblique, aboutit à la porte principale de l'Ancien Shoin par de grandes marches extérieures.
English: Imperial Villa of Katsura. Bridge from the Shokatei tea pavilion. Behind the big pine: Intermediate Shoin, space corresponding to the audience room. To the right of the large pine: veranda overlooking the Terrace of the Moon (hidden by the twisted pine) and giving access to the Old Shoin, in an antechamber. The Geparro is not visible, it would be on the far right behind the trees. The clear roof is a modern building. An access to the veranda can be done by a stone path (visible under the last branch of the big pine), and the veranda gives access to a door (here a dark opening). Two other accesses of this same type lead to this veranda. The main entrance gate is on the right, behind the Geparro pavilion, from where a stony but oblique path leads to the main gate of the Old Shoin by large external steps. |
