Summary edit

Description
English: The Kelso Theater, designed by Astoria architect J. A. Eastaband and built in 1908 by Carter & Davis, once stood at the Southwest corner of Allen Street and 4th Avenue. With a seating capacity of 777, it opened on December 5, 1908. In later years it was known as the city auditorium and offices on the ground floor were leased to the city before being purchased outright in 1920 and converted into city hall. It was razed for a new city hall building in the 1930s. That building also no longer stands, as most of the block was replaced by the approach of the current Allen street bridge in the early 2000s.
