Description
English: Kempty Waterfall seen from above, forming 3-4 different streams which finally unite to form one deluge falling towards the ground. The water drops some 40 ft. The Kempty Falls are situated on the hilly tracks of Dehradoon, Uttarakhand, India, 13 km from Mussoorie on the Chakrata Road. The area is surrounded by high mountain ranges which reach an altitude of 4,500 feet. The name Kempty is probably derived from the word 'camp-tea', meaning a stream running throughout the year. It is located approx 13 km from Mussoorie and 45 km from Dehradun.
