Description
עברית: תחנת תל א-שמאם או כפר יהושע הייתה התחנה השלישית מבין שמונה התחנות המקוריות של רכבת העמק שנקבעו בשנת 1905. התחנה הכילה שמונה מבני אבן בסגנון גרמני אשר נמצאים במקום גם היום. המבנה המרכזי היה בן שתי קומות ובו שכנו משרדי התחנה. קומתו העליונה של מבנה זה שימשה כמקום מגוריה של משפחת מנהל התחנה. בפאתו המזרחית של בניין זה מצויה כתובת מסולסלת בערבית המציינת את שם התחנה. ממזרח למבנה המרכזי נבנה מגדל מים עגול אשר בו נשמרו המים למילוי הקטרים. שאר המבנים בתחנת כפר יהושע שימשו כמקום מגורי עובדי התחנה, שירותים ציבוריים לנוסעים, מחסן פחמים ובתיהם של הבומבג'י (מפעיל המשאבה, שיבוש ערבי של המקצוע הטורקי פומפג'י מ"פומפה" - משאבה) ושל קוון המסילה.
