Description
English: The wall of I.N. Grodekov Khabarovsk Regional Museum, with a plaque explaining the story of the stone tortoise exhibited next to it. It reads, "The stone tortoise, monument to Asikui, (Dígǔnǎi), an outstanding Jurchen general, member of the Wányán clan. He played a decisive role in the defeat of the Khitans. The monument was installed ca. 1193 on a grave mound near the village of Nikolskoye (today's City of Ussuriysk. In 1895 the monument was transported to the Museum of the Far Eastern Chapter of the Imperial Russian Geographic Society." In Pinyin, the Jurchen general's birth name is Wanyan Digunai (完顏迪古乃), courtesy name Wanyan Asikui (完顏阿思魁), Chinese name Wanyan Zhong (完顏忠). He died in 1136.
Русский: Каменная черепаха возле Хабаровского краевого краеведческого музея им. Н. И. Гродекова. Памятник князю Эсыкую (Дигунаю) - полководцу чжурчженей. Была найдена в 1868 году возле с. Никольское (совр. Уссурийск). Доставлена в Хабаровск в 1895 году.
