English: A classic North Indian non vegetarian recipe using mincemeat (lamb) and fresh green peas, Kheema Matar, is a popular dish. Mincemeat (lamb) works best though you could use chicken or beef in its place.
Mincemeat and green peas make for a good combination and when simmered with aromatic spices like cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, the curry is delicious. It can be made in the pressure cooker or slow cooked over stove top or which is much more flavourful compared to the pressure cooker method. Potatoes can also be added along with fresh green peas. Kheema Matar can be served with rice, naan or phulka. |
