Chinese name: 起亚KX3 (qǐyà KX3) Year of launch: 2015 The Kia KX3 was launched as a prototype in November 2014 and made it to the market in April 2015. It is produced by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. The Kia KX3 is a compact crossover based on the same platform as its twin and rival, the Hyundai ix25. Unlike the ix25, which is also produced in Brazil, India and Russia as Hyundai Creta, the Kia KX3 is only offered in China. It was facelifted this year (photo). Sales are nothing to write home about, and sales are down dramatically due to the ongoing anti-Korea sentiment in China due to the anti-missile system (THAAD) of South Korea. |
