DescriptionKiller fungus - the sequel - geograph.org.uk - 714516.jpg |
English: Killer fungus - the sequel. This is the beech tree with fungus that was photographed in September 2006 510110. It was blown over by strong winds on 29 February 2008. The discolouration of the fungus-infected wood is clearly visible in the cut section. Later stages in the life of the fungus are seen in File:Fungus on beech stump - 5 years on (geograph 3572234).jpg and File:Perennial fungus - 10 years on (geograph 5124329).jpg. |
