Document images represent actual item description. This document is genuine and authentic. LOT-O36. A historically important and rare original letter both written and signed by King August III of Poland. Dated 1740. King Augustus to his son-in-law King Carlos of the two Sicilies, congratulating him on the birth of his daughter, Princess Maria Isabelle Antoinette of Naples and Sicily. In 1740, King Carlos was Carlos VII of Naples and Carlos V of Sicily. Signed letter, complete withoriginal envelope with royal seal of King Augustus with Polish-Lithuanian symbols. Folded Letter: ca. 9 x 15 inches. Envelope: ca. 6 x 3 inches. Condition:Very fine, Original. Provenance: private collection.
