A kingfisher taken at Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve. 14 September 2011. Canon 7D, EF 500mm f/4L IS + EF 1.4x For the last month I've spent hours trying to get a kingfisher picture. The problem with the perches near the hides at Blashford Lakes is that they are not favourite fishing spots of the KFs so they only stay for a short time usually (most times less than a minute). Patience paid off and I got this image but I'm still hoping to see kingfishers for longer periods and get some better images. |
