diagram depicting communication theory of James L. Kinneavy

Summary

edit
Description
English: James L. Kinneavy develops a framework for the analysis of communication in A Theory of Discourse (Prentice-Hall, 1971). He recognizes these four components: 1. sender 2. receiver 3. code 4. reality. Communication flows from sender to receiver by means of a code, and the code refers to and is informed by external reality.
