| Description |
English: Kippen ROC Post Entrance Hatch and GZI On top of the louvred ventilation shaft is the GZI (Ground Zero Indicator) mount. The GZI was like a pin-hole camera with holes facing north, south, east and west. Photographic paper was placed in front of each of these holes. An image of the fireball after nuclear detonation would be projected through one or more of these holes enabling the observers to calculate the bearings of the detonation. |
