Description
Deutsch: Lamerdingen, Hauptstraße 9. Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Martin.Turmunterbau, 2. Hälfte 14. Jahrhundert, Neubau um 1500. Chor und Langhaus gewölbt mit prächtigen Stuckarbeiten im Stil des Frührokoko von Matthias Stiller aus Ettringen und Fresken des aus der Augsburger Schule stammenden Malers Johann Georg Lederer von 1736/37. Vortragskreuz im jansenistischen Stil im Chorraum. Im Unterschied zu sonstigen Kreuzen wird der gekreuzigte Christus mit steil emporgestreckten Armen dargestellt. Diese Darstellung geht auf Corelius Jansen zurück und war zeitweise von der katholischen Kirche verboten. Der geringe Abstand wird auch als die enge Pforte zum Himmel gedeutet. Die Evangelisten Markus, Lukas und Matthäus berichten von den Worten Jesu, dass eher ein Kamel durch ein Nadelöhr (kleine Tür in der Stadtmauer) geht, als dass ein Reicher in das Reich Gottes kommt.
