English: Kirkstall Forge 1st railway station (site), Yorkshire Opened in 1847 on the Midland Railway's line from Leeds to Bradford Forster Square, this station closed in 1905 (needs confirmation). Over a century later, a new station was opened 300m to the west, immediately behind the camera position, with the same name. View south east towards Armley Canal Road and Leeds. No trace of the old station appeared to remain when this image was taken. |
