Deutsch: Freilichtmuseum Roscheider Hof: Kleines Kohlebügeleisen mit Kamin. In den Bauch des Bügeleisens wurde glühende (Holz-)Kohle eingefüllt um dessen Boden für das Bügeln zu erhitzen. Dazu konnte der Deckel, der mit einem Schanier an der Rückseite verbunden war nach hinten hochgeklappt werden und nach der Befüllung wieder heruntergeklappt und mit einer Schraube verschlossen werden. Durch einen kleinen Kamin konnte der Rauch abziehen. Der Kamin ist relativ schlicht gestaltet, ohne den bei Vergleichsexemplaren oft vorhandenen Drachenkopf. Der Holzgriff ist auf der einen Seite am Kamin ist leicht beschädigt. Im Vergleich zu Kohlebügeleisen mit Rauchabzug unter dem Deckel des Eisens hat diese Konstruktion den Vorteil, dass die Büglerin nicht voll den Rauch abbekommt.Auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine Klappe zur Regulierung des Luftzugs.
English: Open air museum Roscheider Hof: Small coal iron with a chimney. Glowing (wood) coal was filled into the belly of the iron to heat its bottom for ironing. To do this, the lid, which was connected to a hinge at the back, could be folded up at the back and then folded down again after filling and closed with a screw. The smoke could escape through a small chimney. The chimney is relatively simple in design, without the dragon's head often found on comparative examples. The wooden handle on one side of the chimney is slightly damaged. Compared to charcoal irons with a smoke outlet under the lid of the iron, this design has the advantage that the ironer does not get full smoke.There is a flap on the back to regulate the draught.
