Norsk nynorsk: For heile 5000 år sidan tok folket på austsida av Isle of Man til med eit omfattande byggearbeid. Eit stort gravkammer vart reist oppe i bakken ovanfor stranda der hovudstaden Douglas ligg i dag. Anlegget bestod av minst tre romslege kammer. Her vart ei rekkje menneske gravlagd i ei fjern fortid. Ein trur også at det vart halde seremoniar på staden. Ingen veit nøtyaktig kvifor staden i dag går under namnet kong Orrys grav. Kong Orry, eller kong Godred of Crovan, var konge over Mann på slutten av 1000-talet. Han er neppe gravlagd her, på den andre sida er kong Orry like mykje ein legende som ein historisk person, så det er ikkje godt å seia. |
