Description

Das Schnetztor wurde im 14./15. Jahrhundert als südliches Stadttor an der damaligen »Hauptstraße« erbaut und ist ein Baudenkmal von nationaler Bedeutung. Hier am Tor endete im Mittelalter ein Hauptverkehrsweg quer durch die Stadt, der am Rheintor-Turm im Norden der Stadt seinen Anfang nahm. -

Das Schnetztor mit dem benachbarten Fachwerk-Wohn- und -Geschäftshaus von der Bodanstraße aus gesehen.
