Description

Jupildae (a place where the king stayed or rested) at the entrance to Maisan State Park in Jinan County. The Hanja script (Chinese style writing) was engraved in 1924 by local scholars to commemorate the fact that Yi Seong Gye, founder of the Joseon Dynasty, stayed at this site after returning from a successful military campaign to repel Japanese pirates from Unbong at Namwon.
