The locomotive was produced by the factory Vulcan in the USA in 1943, serial nr. 4494. This type of locomotives was designed as aid to European railways with mostly devastated rail tracks during the WW2. These locomotives were most commonly used for shunting. Lokomotivo je leta 1943 izdelala ameriška tovarna Vulcan, tovarniška št. 4494. Zasnovana je bila kot pomoč evropskim državam in prilagojena za poškodovane proge med 2. svetovno vojno. Te lokomotive so se odlično obnesle kot premikalke. Ta lokomotiva je prišla v Jugoslavijo v okviru programa UNRRA. Pospichal Lokstatistik. O seriji 62. Več fotografij: 1 in 2. Lokomotiva je bila obnovljena v železniškem muzeju v Ljubljani in pripeljana v Tržišče. Namenjena je bila za tržiško železniško postajo se je pa njen namen spremenil z demontažo proge Tržišče-Krmelj. Na željo takratnih veljakov iz Krmelja je bila lokomotiva na prikolici pripeljana v Krmelj in postavljena na današnjem mestu z namenom spomina na nekdanjo progo Trebnje-Krmelj, ki je ni več. Organizator dogodka je bilo društvo Zagon Tržišče. |
