Description
English: Kung Oscarshytttan, 1880. The steel works was built 1872-76. One of the two blast furnaces was tested 1976, operated only July to December 1880 and was then closed due to lack of profit. It was decommissioned and all components were sold or scrapped. The buildings were sold 1898.
Svenska: Kung Oscarshytttan, 1880. Det var ett nedlagt stålverk i Morgongåva, Heby kommun, Uppsala län. Stålverket är uppkallat efter kung Oscar II. Stålverket byggdes 1872-76. Därefter provades en av de två masugnarna. En masugn kördes från midsommar till jul 1880. Därefter stängdes verket på grund av dålig konjunktur för järn och stål. Beslut togs om nedläggning och alla delar såldes eller skrotades. Byggnaderna såldes till en annan fabrik 1898.
