An den Herrn Oberbürgermeister Amt 31
Vor der Fassade des Museumsgebäudes am Ehrenhof befinden sich vier weibliche Bronzestatuen, von denen zwei von Gottschalk und zwei von Sopher stammen. Vom letztgenannten befindet sich weiter eine Statue "Wasserträgerin" in dem kleinen Garten an der Rheinterrasse. Nach meiner Kenntnis der Dinge gilt Sopher als Nichtarier, dem seinerzeit die Ausübung des künstlerischen Berufs aus Rassegründen untersagt wurde. M. E. dürfte es sich empfehlen, eine grundsätzliche Entscheidung in der Sache herbeizuführen, ob die Figuren stehen bleiben können.
