Description

A bottle of Salaus Alus from Kupiškio Alus in Kupiškis, Lithuania, at Bambalyne in Vilnius.

Kupiškio Salaus Alus is a 5% abv traditional ale. It poured a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. It had a lovely smell of cereal and dry hay with notes of citrus. Mouthfeel was medium light with a flat, oily texture. The taste started out with a mild malt sweetness, slightly bready, with notes of cereal. It finished with a fine hop bitterness. Overall a refreshing and very drinkable ale.
