Situé en Ardèche cévenole entre les communes des Vans et Berrias-Casteljau le bois est un vestige de l'antique forêt méditerranéenne. Par ses étranges rochers, les formes torturées de chênes parfois centenaires il enchante les promeneurs. Pour sa biodiversité, faune, flore (entre autre de rares lichens) il passionne les naturalistes.
