Description

Sculpture-fontaine de Claude Lalanne Cette sculpture contemporaine évoque les automates du XVIIIè siècle mais également les enfants de la Duchesse du Maine. Un automate animé par l'eau se trouvait au centre de ce bassin à l'époque de la Duchesse du Maine.

Le Petit Château, construit en 1661 et peu modifié depuis cette date, était à l'origine utilisé pour l'hébergement des hôtes de Colbert. Au XVIIIè siècle, il était réservé aux enfants de la Duchesse du Maine et à leurs gouvernantes. Devant cet édifice se trouvait un petit jardin orné de fontaines.
