| Notes | In einer Landschaft, die durch palmenartige Bäume exotisch wirken soll, sind sechs Ritter auf der Löwenjagd dargestellt. Im Vordergrund erlegt Wolfgang Holzschuher (gestorben 1547), er ist in rot-goldener spanischer Hoftracht gekleidet, mit seinem Speer einen hochspringenden Löwen. Rechts, auf dem Meilenstein erkennt man das Wappen des portugiesischen Königs Emanuel (1469, König 1495-1521); darüber eine Inschrift, die den Ort der Jagd bezeichnet. Der Reiter trägt auf der rechten Brustseite ein Kreuz und ein ovales Ordensmedaillon, in dem ein Balkenkreuz erkennbar ist; sein Roß zeigt als Stirnzier das sprechende Familienwappen mit dem Holzschuh. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
