Description

Kyle Pope, a Master of Business Administration student at the University of Chicago, asks Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez about how new innovations in business challenges incumbent industries but can also lead to transformation and productivity gains. “We need to embrace technology and innovation,” Perez said. “But the key to success is workers having a seat at the table. New jobs are created from innovation and technology and those jobs need to be managed by people.”

Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez discussed the future of work in America with students and community members at University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics, Speaker Series Jan. 21, 2016.
