Deutsch: Eine echte Überraschung, obwohl die Doppelkapelle ein gemeinsamer Baukörper ist und wohl auch zusammenhängend geplant wurde, ist die obere Kapelle als Andachtsraum für den Kaiser und seine Familie bereits frühgotisch. Die vier Säulen bestehen aus Marmor, die Öfnung im Boden stellt die für die Liturgie wichtige Sicht- und Hörverbindung her.
