Вихідний штам L було отримано WR Earle в 1940 р. з нормальної підшкірної ареолярної та жирової тканини 100-денного самця миші C3H/An. Клон NCTC 929 - клон штама L (також відомий як L929) було отримано в березні 1948 року. Тип клітин – фібробласти. Форма росту – адгезивна. Середовище культивування: DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% FBS Посівна концентрація 5*103 - 2*104 клітин/см2 Коефіцієнт пересіву 1:2 – 1:8 Використання – стабільна та транзієнтна трансфекція; дослідження вірусів PRV, VSV (Indiana), HSVРусский: Клеточная линия фибробластов мыши.

The original L strain was obtained by WR Earle in 1940 from normal subcutaneous areolar and adipose tissue of a 100-day-old male C3H/An mouse. NCTC Clone 929 - A clone of the L strain (also known as L929) was obtained in March 1948. The cell type is fibroblasts. The growth form is adhesive.
