THE AREA IS THREATENED BY A U.S. CORPS OF ENGINEERS PROJECT WHICH WOULD DAM AND DREDGE THE RIVER. THIS AREA ALSO IS A MAJOR STOPOVER FOR WHOOPING CRANES |
