Summary
editDescriptionLSPM J0207 disk.jpg |
English: The disk of LSPM J0207+3331 (white dwarf) according to Debes et al. 2019 (https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2019ApJ...872L..25D/abstract). 2D-illustration with the help of Adobe Elements Photoshop.
The outer disk has a radius of 0.94 solar radii and a temperature of 480 K. Because it won't extend much more from the Roche radius (ca. 1 solar radius), I made with a small width. The inner disk has an outer radius of 0.21 solar radii and an outer temperature of about 550 K. The inner radius is 0.047 solar radii and has a temperature of 1100 K. The white dwarf in the center has a temperature of over 6000 K (here therefore shown white) and a radius of about 0.011 solar radii. The sizes of white dwarf and the disk are therefore to scale. |
