Dobeles novada ģerboņa apraksts
  1. Dobeles novada ģerboņa vairogs ir dalīts: augšā zeltīta josla ar četriem pils aizsargmūri simbolizējošiem elementiem, apakšā Zemgali simbolizējošs zils lauks ar sudrabotu etnogrāfisko Kurzemes un Dobeles riņķa saktu ar stūriem centrā, kuras izmērs atbilst šo noteikumu 2.pielikumā norādītajam paraugam.
  2. Dobeles novada ģerboņa krāsainajam attēlam, ģerboņa grafiskajam attēlam un kontūrzīmējumam neatkarīgi no tā izmēriem jāatbilst ģerboņa aprakstam, kā arī pamatā jāsakrīt ar šiem noteikumiem pievienotajiem paraugiem 2.pielikumā.[1]
Ģerboņa drukāšanai jāizmanto sekojoši krāsu kodi
Sudraba - PANTONE 877C; zelta - PANTONE 873C; zilā - PANTONE 286C; melnā - PANTONE black[2]
Ģerboni veidojuši mākslinieki Ilze Lībiete un Juris Ivanovs.

29 июня 2010 года Совет Добельского края постановлением №21 утвердил муниципальные правила «О символике Добельского края», которыми были установлены флаг и герб Добельского края. 30 июля 2010 года описание герба было утверждено президентом Латвии, министром культуры и председателем геральдической комиссии Латвии.
