La chapelle Emiliana à gauche est à coté de l'église San Michele sur l'île des morts (cimetière San Michele) à Venise Cette chapelle blanche, de forme hexagonale surmontée d'une coupole, a été construite par Guglielmo dei Grigi, dit Guglielmo Bergamasco entre 1528 et 1543. L'église san Michele, a été construite en 1469 par l'architecte Mauro Coducci, c'est le premier édifice religieux de la Renaissance à Venise. L'île San Michele abrite le cimetière de Venise, elle est située à mi-chemin entre Venise et Murano (dont on voit le phare au fond à gauche). Igor Stravinski et Serge de Diaghilev sont enterrés sur cette île. |
