| Description |
English: A historic building located at 1114 Adams Street in downtown La Grande, Oregon. Once part of a row of similarly designed buildings dating to the early 1890's, the others were gradually remodeled by their respective owners. the brick pediment on this facade is a later but still historic addition. In the 1910s, this address was home to the Newlin Book & Stationary Co., operated by Margaret Newlin. Her husband Chester Newlin sold insurance from the store as well. This building is located within the La Grande Commercial Historic District, on the National Register of Historic Places. |
