| Description |
La Khanaka était le siège des Derviches. Ce bâtiment construit par Nadir Divanbegi a été au centre de la vie culturelle et religieuse de Boukhara pendant des siècles. A la date de la prise de vue, il était en restauration comme tout le quartier Liabi-Khaouz. La Tchaïkhana (auberge), située devant la Khanaka et décrite dans les guides comme l'âme de ce lieu, était elle aussi en travaux. Il fait face à la médersa de Nadir Divanbegi, ces deux bâtiments entourent le grand bassin (Khaouz) qui a été creusé en 1602. C'était le plus grand réservoir de la ville mais l'eau étant à la lumière, ce mode d'approvisionnement a été à l'origine de nombreuses maladies de la population locale. Ce sont les soviétiques qui ont mis fin à ces pratiques archaïques. |
