Description
Español: Dulwich Picture Gallery. Pintura, óleo sobre lienzo, en la madurez de Murillo (1675-80) y muy diferente a otras Virgen del Rosario con el Niño. Se desconoce el contratante, posiblemente para un convento o monasterio sevillano. Murillo ingresó en la Cofradía del Rosario (Convento de San Pablo, Sevilla), y el motivo, solicitado. También es destacable el coste de esta obra en la que se emplean los mejores materiales, como el azul ultramar para el manto de la Virgen.
