Français : «Cette fontaine est située au centre de la jolie place de la FAO au carrefour des rues Saint-Paul, Saint-Pierre et Sault-au-Matelot.

Elle fut érigée en 1995 pour souligner le 50e anniversaire de la fondation à Québec de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture (FAO). La sculpture (La Vivrière) est l'oeuvre des artistes Carmelo Arnoldin, Richard Purdy et François Hébert. La fontaine et les pavés de la place ont été conçus par l'architecte André Plante.
