Le tuyau d'aspiration de l'installation "Ascension" d'Anish Kapoor

Ce curieux et énorme tuyau d'aération qui sort du dôme de la Basilique "San Giorgio Maggiore", à Venise, est heureusement temporaire, il est du à l'installation artistique d'Anish Kapoor, exposée à l'intérieur de l'église, à l'occasion de la biennale 2011.

Sur un monument aussi visible et prestigieux, c'est étonnant que les responsables culturels aient accepté la présence de ce tuyau inesthétique mais après tout la présence de gigantesques panneaux publicitaires sur les grands monuments de Venise représente une dégradation de l'environnement culturel bien plus grave.

L'oeuvre de Kapoor est néanmoins intéressante mais des efforts auraient pu être faits pour cacher davantage la quincaillerie qu'elle nécessite.
