Se trata de adivinar el lugar de la fotografia..


La fuente pública es un elemento arquitectónico construido en el interior de un pueblo o ciudad, para abastecimiento de agua a los ciudadanos. Su traza y decoración suelen contribuir al ornato del lugar, plazas, calles o jardines y en algunas ocasiones pueden llegar a ser un monumento público.

En España las fuentes públicas empezaron a aparecer a todo lo largo de los siglos XV y XVI. Desde el principio los concejos de las ciudades pusieron su empeño en que las fuentes fueran motivo de ornato y embellecimiento urbano, además de cumplir con la necesidad primordial de abastecimiento de agua. Se ocuparon también de mantener un cierto y favorable nivel en lo referente a calidad y cantidad de agua. Todo este sistema de obras e instalaciones suposo mucho costo. La traída de aguas, la construcción , el mantenimiento , el robo y vandalismo y su alto coste fue para los gobernantes un quebradero de cabeza.

En el pueblo de Navafria, se han aprovechado siempre las aguas del río Cega, afluente del Duero, de las que se surte, tanto para el consumo humano como para el riego de sus huertas y prados.
