Vénus à gauche avec Junon à droite et Cérès au fond (détail des peintures de la voûte)

à gauche, un angelot avec le trident de Neptune à droite, un angelot tient la fourche à deux dents et l'autre retient Cerbère, le chien à trois têtes, gardien du royaume des morts.

La loggia d'Amour et de Psyché était à l'origine la voie d'accès à la villa Farnesina. C'était un lieu de fête en été. La voûte a été peinte par Raphaël et son atelier en 1518 avec des scènes de la fable d'Amour et Psyché, tirée du récit l'Âne d'Apulée.

La Farnesina est une des plus belles villas romaines de la Renaissance. La fusion entre l'architecture et la décoration picturale y est particulièrement réussie.
